Chimwemwe has won the second scholarship from S4S!
After a long selection process, our selection committee from 8 African and 3 European countries has now chosen Chimwemwe. She comes from a small village in Zambia and has already gained a lot of experience in the field of environmental protection.
For years she has been committed to fighting forest destruction and promoting environmental education in her region, together with the Chipembele organization. We are happy to give her this special message and that you can all take part in it with the video!

There is reason to celebrate in Raphael's community!
Raphael spends the semester break at home, in his Maassai community. Here he takes us to a friend's wedding and tells us about the traditional dances, dresses and jewelry.
We are very grateful for this unique and intimate insight into Raphael's life and the Maassai community.

Raphaels update from his first semester
"In my first semester at university I had seven modules, including mammalogy, plant communities in East Africa, communication skills, herpetology, information and communication technology and ornithology.
In these courses I learned a lot and gained a lot of knowledge from a whole new perspective. I particularly enjoyed the independent homework and projects, as I had to read a lot independently and research thoroughly to find the right answers and information. I'm super happy that I can finally study! It is also a challenge to study and work at the same time, which is why I have to organize and manage my time well. We have now completed our exams and I am still waiting for the results."
The university can start!
We wish Raphael much success on his first day at university!
You`ll rock it for sure!
Raphael comes from a Maassai community, is an experienced ranger and is now also studying wildlife management in order to be able to help his community and nature even better!
